Welcome back to the fourth installment of New Music Monday! New Music Monday is where we give PopWrapped readers an exclusive first listen to new singles from up-and-coming artists.

This week we continue our musical journey with Justin Alexander, as he hits us with another new single entitled “Like That.” The track is the fourth track to come off Alexander’s upcoming EP, I’m Ready.

At first, when I listened to the song, I felt like it was kind of the same as all the other singles we have released here on PopWrapped. The more I listened to the song; however, the more I realized I could not have been more wrong. I have thoroughly enjoyed this single.

As I listened, I heard the definite story the song was giving. A girl sees a guy who is everything but her type. Alexander sings lyrics which describe how he doesn’t understand how someone like him could treat a girl so horrible in a certain way. He goes on to try to tell her what she truly deserves and that he can give that to her. I really think the lyrics make this song that much stronger.

The variety of instruments that the song provides are also a really good addition to the song. I believe that this sound defines Alexander’s music style. Its so good, and it is a great drop-down-the-car-hood-and-drive type of song.
