Justin Bieber just can’t seem to keep himself out of the news these days. Adding to his legal woes, the New York City Health Department is looking to fine the pop star for inking the skin of tattoo artist Bang Bang without a license. The fine could be upwards of $2000 not to mention what it’s going to cost to get his monkey back from Germany!
The one thing Bieber does have? Enough swag to have five schools in Norway cancel their midterms due to his near presence 230 miles away. The singer is scheduled to perform in Olsa on April 16th and 17th and teachers fear that students will skip out on their exams for a chance to see the Biebs live and in the flesh.
Kristin Halvorsen, Norway’s education minister, had to agree with the schools. Ms. Halvorsen wrote a statement to The Associated Press voicing her decision not to intervene. “I am concerned that students should be concentrating when they take tests and midterms,” she wrote.”The local schools have the responsibility to schedule the local midterms, and if they think there is any reason to change the dates, they have authority to do so.”
I just find this to be a bit unnecessary. My mom wouldn’t even let me leave summer camp for a night to see Nsync perform! Other girls got to go while I cried in my bunk all night long. I am still a little bitter.
