As well as “Mirrors” Justin’s collaboration with Jay-Z “Suit and Tie” has received two of the six nominations.

Pink and Robin Thicke have each received three VMA nominations, while Jared Leto and Thirty Seconds To Mars edged ahead of them receiving four nods.

MTV has utilized the power of social media and chose to announce the nominations for Video of the Year via their Twitter, Instagram and Vine accounts.

This year’s event will be shown live from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on August 25.  MTV has yet to announce who this year’s host will be.
