Social Media Swoons At G7 Bromance Between Justin Trudeau And Emmanuel Macron

Social media is enthralled at what looks like a budding romance between Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Social media could not get enough of what appears to be a budding bromance between Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron.

Both men were attending the just concluded G-7 summit held at Sicily from May 26-27. Of course they were there to dicsuss important issues with other leaders of the world’s wealthiest nations. The group tackled topics like international trade, and climate change (wherein all the leaders tried their best to convince Donald Trump to affirm the Paris accords).

Outside of the battery of meetings and important issues though, Trudeau and Macron were able to snuck out of the high powered environment and were able to enjoy a leisurely stroll in the garden.

When pictures and videos of these two walking about emerged, social media could not deal and immediately a new pairing was born!

Dubbed ‘MacDeau’ by The Huffington Post, which  sounds like a high class and salacious happy meal, the duo themselves seem partially responsible with all the swooning when they posted on their social media sites.

Macron, for his part, posted a video of their walkabout on his Instagram and captioned it with, “L’amitié franco-canadienne a un nouveau visage,” which translates to, “Franco-Canadian friendship has a new face.” Now, how sweet is that? In the video, the two men were conversing in French and probably were engaged in an important discussion of global significance. Or maybe they were just planning a weekend getaway to play sports, drink beer, gaze into each othes eyes, that sort of thing.

Trudeau meanwhile posted several pictures on his twitter account, which shows the two men staring at each other adoringly, in various settings within the G-7 venue.

He wrote “Sitting down with @EmmanuelMacron for the first time, talking jobs, security & climate – looking forward to more conversations, my friend.” And he actually called the French President “my friend”!

People immediately followed it up with their own assessment of this budding bromance.

Now, how adorable is that? All kidding aside, we hope that this bromance can actually bring real positive changes in the world. Let us not forget that this two are among the most powerful men in the world and what they discuss and decide to cooperate on during their leisurely strolls can influence us all.
