Kanye West has never been afraid of pushing boundaries. His controversial behavior is something we’ve all but come to expect from him at this point. And, as Taylor Swift is so painfully aware of, nobody is safe from his crazy antics!
Kanye’s newest album, Yeezus, has been a popular topic of discussion these last few weeks. The newest promotional campaign is in the form of a short film with an odd twist. The film, which Kanye projected on the outside wall of Los Angeles’ Milk Theater, was premiered during a listening party for the new album. Rap-up reports that the film has a recreated scene from the movie American Psycho, released in 2000. West recruited Scott Disick and Jonathan Cheban, of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, to play Patrick Bateman and Bateman’s victim. Bateman, played by Disick, mimics the original movie in feel and dialogue. But while Christian Bales’ Bateman went on a hilarious, albeit clearly psychopathic, tirade about the brilliance of Huey Lewis and the News, Disick swaps in Kanye and Yeezus before attacking Cheban for his nonchalance.
Whether you’re a fan of Kanye’s or not, you have to give him credit for his creativity and “think-outside-the-box” mentality!
