Today on The Talk, TV mom legend Katey Sagal (Married with Children & Sons of Anarchy) confirmed on today’s episode of The Talk that in addition to her appearance on Glee during season 4, she would be returning for season 5.
When asked during her interview by Aisha Tyler how the job came about Sagal said, “Well I’ve been pitching myself for about three years to get on that show, I’ve told everybody. I told Kevin (McHale), we decided backstage at Comic-Con I was going to be his mom”. When a friend who works on the show tipped her off that Artie’s mom would soon make an appearance, she reached out to Ryan Murphy letting him know she’s interested.
Unfortunately Sagal won’t be singing during her season 4 stint on Glee but says there is hope for the future.
