R&B star and new X-Factor judge Kelly Rowland recently had a Gilligan’s Island style trip when herself and a group of friends were on a boat that broke down off the shores of Massachusetts.
Rowland and crew originally set out to spend some time whale watching when their vessel became “disoriented in the five-to-six-foot waves and fog that had rolled in,” an employee at Towboat US Provincetown confirmed to E! News.
“The US Coast Guard was able to triangulate their position after learning that the group needed help”, the employee added.
While the Coast Guard was escorting them back to Provincetown, Rowland’s boat apparently broke down requiring the party to be towed the remaining four miles to shore. The day that was originally intended for some fun turned out to be a long one as the singer and friends were reportedly at sea for an exhausting 12 hours.
