Director Adam McKay confirmed via Facebook Monday night that Kristen Wiig would be joining the already hilarious cast of Anchorman for the sequel, “The Legend Continues”. Wiig joins the returning players, Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell and Dave Koechner in the film, which is due out December 20th.
Kristen is no stranger to the comedy world of producer extraordinaire, Judd Apatow as she appeared in his film Knocked Up & acted as the producer on her wildly successful, Bridesmaids.
If the Golden Globes are any indication, the pairing of Wiig & Ferrell will have the audience in stitches throughout the whole movie! Cannot wait for December.
