Having met at university and bonded over their shared love of song-writing, Late Night Thoughts – vocalist and writer Brian Rauch and writer, vocalist and guitarist Michael Harlow, first began performing across Massachusetts, and released their first EP, ‘Moonlit Memories’, in 2018, followed by a second collection, ‘Worth It’, a year later. They’ve to date amassed more than three million streams across several platforms and while the pandemic halted many of their plans over the last eighteen months or so, it didn’t stop and hasn’t stopped them from remaining creative. Today, PopWrapped are delighted to premiere their latest single “Faith”, and its video.
Asked about the song, the duo share: “’Faith’, is the second single off of our upcoming EP. It is a piano power ballad with pop influences that analyzes the struggle of a long-distance relationship. It was influenced by a time in one of our relationships when long distance seemed like it was an impossible hurdle to climb, despite the love being so strong. Although this time had passed in our relationship, the pandemic reminded us of the value of what it means to be able to be together in person, so that’s where this whole song came from. We believe that love is strong enough to conquer the bounds of distance, but sometimes the feeling of doubt creeps in when love is faced with adversity.”
The EP they’re referring to is ‘Bridges & Tunnels’, which drops December 3rd. The collection consists of 5 songs, each showcasing a more polished, developed and all-round impressive sound from the band. “Every facet of our being has taken a giant leap forward, from the clothes we wear, to the videos we make and the music itself,” says Brian. “This EP will take you on a journey through what life has been like for us as young adults trying to live out our dreams while struggling with our fears and holding onto love.”
