Law & Order’s Dennis Farina Passes Away in Arizona

Dennis Farina, of Law & Order fame, has passed away at the age of 69.

Farina, who also starred in Snatch, among others, passed away this morning (July 22), as stated by his publicist.

While in Scottsdale, Arizona, Farina was admitted to a local hospital due to a blood clot in his lung. The actor died shortly after.

Before taking over the silver screen as the high-rolling Detective Joe Fontana on Law & Order, Farina worked the streets as a policeman for the Chicago Police Force for eight years.

Recently, Farina had a cameo as Nick’s father on Fox’s New Girl, and was slated to have a small role in the upcoming twelfth season of Family Guy.

Farina will be added to the ever-growing list of celebrities gone too soon. Our thoughts are with Farina’s loved ones during this difficult time.
