Le Fomo Tease New Album With Release Of Title Track “Swallow Me Whole”

Having been making music together – in several forms – for a decade, Kai and Ess – aka Le Fomo, have long since established themselves as both individuals and a duo with a genuine passion for the craft whose influences over the years have come to include Talking Heads, Prince, Led Zeppelin, Cyndi Lauper and Janelle Monae, to name just a few.

With their album of the same name set to drop on September 25th, the thrash-pop, gender fun luck wave pair are teasing the collection with the release of its title track “Swallow Me Whole”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere.

“Swallow Me Whole”, the duo’s third release of the year, blends Kai’s impressive guitar playing, electro beats and Ess’s strong vocals, inspired largely by 90’s hip-hop, all together working in harmony to take the listener on a memorable journey.

Asked about the story behind and creative process to the song, Ess says: “Sometimes you meet someone and you see a brilliant, shining, perfect being, and then you start to see all of their pain and hurt, and you want to heal them, to save them from it all. So you write about it, and you turn it into a song with your brilliant co-conspirator – Kai. And then you realize you’ve just written a song about your own quest to heal yourself.”

Although the duo are proud of all the tracks they write and record, Ess is particularly so of this one, adding: “This might be my favorite one to sing on our entire album. “Swallow Me Whole” is this kind of bitter-sweet-tangy-salty mix of energy. Have you ever sipped Mezcal in a tiny moonlit attic while staring up at the night sky, wrapped up with someone you’re in stunning, expansive connection with? I wanted to be the perfect lover for a perfect love.”
