Marie Claire Mexico‘s August 2013 issue features a stunning Lea Michele on its cover. The issue contains an interview with Michele where she opened up about her relationship with Cory Monteith, who had visited her on the set of her shoot.
Monteith’s passing is still fresh in our minds and we still report on him with heavy hearts. While the tragedy will not pass, we are left with Monteith’s positive legacy and Michele’s kind words are a reminder of that.
The 26-year-old Glee actress did a covershoot and interview with the publication one month before Monteith’s tragic passing. Of Monteith, Michele said “It’s more interesting having a relationship with someone you work with because we get more attention because we play boyfriend and girlfriend on the show and we are also in real life. But he is the best person I know, he has made my life so incredible, and I am so thankful for him and not only to have him as a partner but also as a co-worker.”
Michele and Monteith connected in a way that so many long to with their significant other. In one another they found comfort, and understanding. Michele told Marie Claire Mexico that “[i]t is important to have someone that supports you and encourage you, someone that makes you feel that you are unstoppable, that you can do anything in the world because you have him.”
Cory visited the shoot to support his girlfriend said the editor-in-chief Ariadne Grant. “Coryshowed up in great spirits and was very nice to everybody there; he even took pictures with whoever asked for it. He just asked for a Coke and stayed there watching the shooting until it was done,” she told E! Online.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Lea Michele, Cory’s family and friends, as well as his Glee family. The Marie Claire Mexico issue with Michele on the cover hits newsstands July 30.
