One of the sketches that didn’t make it into the final cut of last Saturday’s Saturday Night Live featured Lena Dunham hanging out with some of the female SNL cast members backstage. The scene starts off simple enough as Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant attempt to pry some answers out of Lena about what’s going to happen on Girls, but suddenly Vanessa Bayer enters the room to show off the new dance she choreographed for Beyoncé’s song “Partition.” Of course, it turns out that Vanessa has the no moves whatsoever, and the rest of the women look on in cringe-worthy admiration. The bit ends when Lena excuses herself to go rehearse some more of her lines, and a very needy Bayer asks “Is it just me, or is this week like all about Lena?” It was absolutely hilarious and I have to wonder how this didn’t make the final cut for the show last Saturday!
