Love, Lies and Fiction Present “MoonShine” Acoustic

“…We felt a love song deserved a softer, moonlit night interpretation.”

While they might be labelled as a pop-rock band, Love, Lies and Fiction – Eric Jackson, Ricky Sanders and Lu Rubino – are a trio that impressively blend several styles and genres of music into every track they create, giving them a rather unique sound that continues to catch the attention of and impress music fans everywhere. Having recently dropped their new single “MoonShine”, PopWrapped are delighted to premiere their stripped-down acoustic version of the track.

Asked about the story behind “MoonShine”, the band explain that it: “…is a song about the euphoric feelings that come with new love.  The excitement over the possibility that maybe, just maybe, you’ve found someone truly special.  And when you’re with them, everything is better: The night sky seems majestic and star-filled like you’ve never noticed before.  Even food tastes better.  And as you sit on the beach – preferably in Fort Lauderdale between Oakland Boulevard and Commercial where the beaches are really nice at night – being in this person’s presence, it feels like they, personally, makes the moon shine just a little bit brighter.  The song idea came to me after a wonderful date that started with dinner at an Italian restaurant, made more perfect by some fine Napa Valley red wine, and ended up on the beach, around 10 p.m. where the conversation just flowed and everything seemed easy and right.”

Lead vocalist Eric adds of the new acoustic rendition: “…we just felt that it needed a ‘vibey’ acoustic interpretation.  The lyric almost begs for it: ‘Don’t move too fast, wanna love you slower… the moon is high and I’m drunk on you…’ so we got out the Cajon -a box-shaped percussive instrument that the drummers sits on to play, for those who don’t know – shakers, and acoustic guitars and did our best to honor the original.  We felt a love song deserved a softer, moonlit night interpretation.”
