Magic Mike Muiscal Moves Forward With Spiderman Scribe

The man that saved Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has now been tapped to write the book to Magic Mike: The Musical.

Alongside Aguirre-Sacasa will be Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey as they are set to write the songs for the musical that is based off the stripper drama that starred Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer. 

Tatum, who was a stripper when he was younger, is producing the show with Reid Carolin and Soderbergh, alongside Gregory Jacobs and Nick Wechsler.

Here is some information about the personal that is helping with the show.

Kitt and Yorker are the creators of the new Idina Menzel show If/Then. They also are the creators the award-winning play Next to Normal.

Aguirre-Sacasa who also has a book that he wrote about Duncan Sheik’s American Psycho: a musical set to debut in London later this year. 

Right now the Magic Mike producers are working on to develop a prequel to the 2012 hit which grossed $167 million dollars world wide.
