Man of Steel is definitely one the summer’s most anticipated films. The different trailers for the film definitely have some amazing scores and visual effects, one can get pretty pumped to see the whole thing in its entirety.
Actor Michael Shannon, who plays General Zod in the Superman reboot, has seen the film and was blown away by it, praising its director, Zach Snyder. He told the Irish Independent, “I don’t think Zack has anything to worry about. I got to see it and I’m really bowled over by what he did. I think it’s really special.”
Shannon, who has appeared in films such as Revolutionary Road and Iceman, is still processing the fact that he will be appearing in a Superman film. “I can’t fathom how people would say no to Man of Steel. I thought they were pulling my leg… Then I got on set, and realized they were serious. I had no qualms about doing it. I loved it. It was a blast.” He is clearly excited to be part of the project, but then again, who wouldn’t be?
Man of Steel also stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Russell Crowe as Superman’s father, Kal-el. Catch it in theaters on June 14th!
