Last week on “Divide and … Conquer,” Medusa (Serinda Swan) just missed Black Bolt (Anson Mount) before Declan (Henry Ian Cusick) spirited him and Sammy away in a helicopter. Also, Crystal escaped Attilan with Lockjaw after refusing to support Maximus (Iwan Rheon). On Earth, the search for Black Bolt continues on “Make Way for … Medusa.” Meanwhile on Attilan, Maximus is willing to do whatever it takes to solidify his claim to the throne.
Can Declan be trusted?
Declan is a geneticist and a little too eager to take Black Bolt and Sammy to his lab. Sammy isn’t too keen on the idea, and wonders if Declan wants to experiment on them. Declan tries to do a rapid DNA test on Black Bolt, but is stopped by Black Bolt. Declan vows to help find Medusa if he can do some testing.

Louise drives while Medusa points a gun at her, which understandably makes Louise nervous. Medusa assures Louise that she won’t accidentally shoot her. Louise isn’t reassured when Medusa tells her, “When I shoot you, it will not be an accident.” However, Medusa is clearly a good shot because she shoots out the tires on a police car when it starts chasing them.
Medusa nonchalantly confirms that she’s from the moon and that Gorgon crushed Louise’s moon rover. She expresses her desire to find her family, and Louise has an idea.
Black Bolt consents to Declan testing his DNA. Declan is thrilled to discover that Black Bolt’s DNA is not human. “A whisper in your sleep would kill your wife,” Declan comments after mentioning Black Bolt’s supercharged vocal chords. He’s right. It would. Black Bolt reminds Declan about his promise to help find Medusa, and Declan leaves to make a call.
To Maximus.
Clearly, Declan was too good to be true. But his scientific curiosity is what ultimately saves Black Bolt’s life. He insists that he can’t kill Maximus and copy the genetic code. And Maximus needs that genetic code if he wants to make himself Inhuman again.
Catching up with Karnak, Gorgon, and Crystal

Karnak helps the drug cartel he hooked up come up with a more efficient irrigation system. Gorgon is beating himself up that one of his surfer buddies died because of him, but they won’t desert him. Later he leaves them, because he sees them as family and he protects his family. Crystal convinces the guy that hit Lockjaw, Dave, to find a vet and he shows up with his ex-girlfriend. Crystal is dumbfounded when Audrey calls her a princess, but doesn’t realize it’s due to her behavior not her title.
Medusa and Black Bolt are on collision course
Louise and Medusa manage to evade the police when they’re tracked to Louise’s hotel. Louise doesn’t want to leave behind her toy rocket, and Medusa goes back to get it for her. After getting the information she needs to find Black Bolt, Medusa goes off on her own, but she begrudgingly accepts Louise’s help.
In the lab, Sammy and Black Bolt decide to escape when they discover a vial of poison. They encounter Auran in the parking lot and for a second it looks like Black Bolt has the upper hand until Mordis appears. Black Bolt breaks a gas valve, knowing that if Mordis takes off his mask an explosion will happen. Auran doesn’t care though. She’s willing to do whatever it takes to carry out Maximus’ orders. Just as Medusa and Louise show up, Mordis takes off his mask. It seems like everyone but Black Bolt is knocked out and there are bodies scattered in the parking lot.
It feels like an eternity, but Black Bolt finally sees Medusa and they run into each other’s arms. It’s so cliche, but everything literally fades away as the two of them reunite. She confirms that Maximus is the reason that she has no hair and insists she’s okay. They take off with Louise driving the getaway car before everyone wakes up.
Maximus tricks the Genetic Council into assembling and then banishes them. He wants society to innovate in order to progress, since they forbid him inserting genetic code into himself.

Final Thoughts
Is anyone else loving the banter with Louise and Medusa? I appreciate how different they are and how they don’t quite gel, but they somehow work.

We finally learned what was in Louise’s “necklace” which isn’t actually a necklace, but a “toy rocket” according to Medusa and it contains the ashes of Louise’s father. Medusa also shares some things about her family and reveals that her parents died for their ideals. I’m curious if we’re ever going to see them in a flashback or not.
Karnak and Crystal’s storylines feel disconnected from the rest of the show. Gorgon’s feels a little more connected since he interacts with Auran. I hope the three of them run into each other soon. I’m curious to see how Karnak reacts when he does encounter someone from his family.
Next week on “Something Inhuman This Way Comes,” Black Bolt and Medusa continue searching for their family and reluctantly accept Louise’s help. Maximus’ actions change everything, but Medusa makes sure to let Maximus know that Black Bolt is interested in having a few words when they get home. It wouldn’t even take a few words to kill Maximus.
