Maya Rudolph’s name has been buzzing in the air recently. With the announcement that her co-star Christina Applegate would be departing “Up All Night,” both Rudolph and series star Will Arnett have been reportedly approached and sought out by networks to star in television pilots.

But Rudolph now seems to be straying from sitcoms in order to pursue a slightly different type of series. Returning to her “Saturday Night”-esque roots, the actress is reportedly being approached by various networks to develop a daytime variety show. FOX, ABC, and NBC apparently all want the actress to star in a show that will air on their network. Rudolph’s comedy expertise garnered from her seven year gig on “Saturday Night Live” makes her a prime candidate to headline her own variety show.

So what do you all think? Would you rather see Rudolph return to the screen in a comedy pilot or do you have more of a desire to see her headline her own variety series instead? (COMING SOON!) (COMING SOON!)
