Donald Trump's Electoral College victory might have solidified Alec Baldwin's presence on SNL for the next few years, but Kate McKinnon brought back our favorite pant-suited 2016 presidential candidate for an all new Love Actually parody.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAhF8tPqafQ
"Hillary, Actually" is a parody of the famous Keira Knightly/Andrew Lincoln giant cue card scene in Love Actually where Lincoln's character silently tells Knightly's character that he loves her.
This recorded skit has McKinnon's Clinton showing up at an Electoral College elector, played by Cecily Strong, who is dressed like Knightly in the movie. Clinton shows up using the cue cards trying to appeal to the elector before the Electoral College is set to cast their official votes that would officially give Trump the 45th presidency.
The entire skit focuses on Clinton's last push to the electoral college voters to reconsider their votes for Trump. It's a lighthearted skit that even jokes at Clinton's preparation abilities with the number of cue cards she had to introduce herself before the elector tries to hurry her up.
There was also a long list of reasons why Trump shouldn't be elected president, even with a joke of "bish ... he cray." Another highlight was when Clinton quoted The Help instead of Love Actually, showing the humor behind her struggles to seem relatable to voters.
It was great to see McKinnon's character make a reappearance, especially with how much Hillary has been off the grid since she lost the election. McKinnon's Clinton reappearance is also much lighter since the last time we saw the character was the cold open after the election.
Will this be the last time we see Kate McKinnon as Hillary Clinton? Maybe. But, with Trump officially getting the Electoral College victory, we know there's gonna be even more skits poking fun at the 45th President of the United States.
