Hey there, Supernatural fans! I have some news for you! I’ve gotten my hands on some pretty juicy details about season 9 and I couldn’t possibly share them with anyone else but you true fans out there! All of the things we know about The Men Of Letters is just the gift that will always keep on giving! I was actually a big fan of this storyline from season 8 and I look forward to seeing more of it in season 9!

Executive Producer Jeremy Carver told Entertainment Weekly that they intend to ride the Men Of Letters train well into season 9. Carver said, “We’ll be delving a lot more into that. And in fact, we’ll be seeing the first two hunters to ever be stationed at the Men Of Letters bunker. That’s a really, really fun episode we have coming up early in the season where we will be flashing back to 1935.”

Sadly, it looks like it’s going to take at least three episodes to get back to the traditional case-of-the-week format, mainly due to the fallout of all those poor angels being booted out of heaven and forced down to earth. Carver added, “There are lots of pieces to pick up. As we pick up those pieces, we’re always introducing new things, but we’re very much in the world of consequences of last season.”

Once we are finally able to get back to the case-of-the-week, we have something pretty funny to look forward to. It’s a little episode that executive producer Robert Singer called “Doctor Dean-Little”. Singer said, “Yes, he talks to animals!! One of the highlights being Dean getting into a brawl with a pigeon.” Carver said, “It’s a logical progression from fairies to pigeons.”

For those of you who remember that amazing episode where Dean got his ass kicked by a naked fairy chick will most likely remember how hard you were laughing. Take a moment to picture Dean fighting with a pigeon…. Now I am pretty sure you’re laughing, and even if you’re not, you will be soon enough!

Season 9 of Supernatural premieres on October 8th at 9pm!
