When a friend of mine first suggested that I should start watching Supernatural (yes, I’m eternally indebted), she could not stop talking about this character named Castiel, and I soon found out why. Unfortunately enough, he has been rather absent lately as for many fans, including myself, Castiel had become a big favourite. He was in my opinion iconic for the series: Supernatural is not just another violent, monster fighting rip-off, but a series with a proper story and some great comedy to top it all off.
And now he’s back! Or well…perhaps he never truly left. Either way he will be back for season 9! Not only did The CW recently give us the great news that there would be such a thing as season 9 at all, but now it is also reported that, in addition to directing a season 9 episode, Misha Collins will be returning as a series regular, which is of course amazing news for all Castiel fans out there!
