Nicki Minaj looks like the next judge to be leaving American Idol. The announcement comes shortly after Randy Jackson announced that he’ll be leaving after 12 seasons.
An inside source told US Weekly: “It’s safe to say she isn’t coming back to ‘Idol.’ She’s okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway.”
Minaj has been in a feud with fellow judge Mariah Carey since the beginning of the season, which producers thought would bring in ratings at first, according to M.J. Santilli.
As of now, Carey and Keith Urban haven’t made any comments on their future with Idol. There are rumors that the show will be getting a new producer and an entirely new panel of judges next season.
