LG has finally announced it’s new smartphone, The LG Optimus 2! This new smartphone has been designed to take on the Samsung Galaxy 4, and has a full HD 5.2 inch IPS display and a 2.3 GHz quad core processor.

The G2’s Snapdragon 800 processor is capable of handling 4K video. 2GB of RAM is also included in the phone, as well as a 32GB on internal storage and a microSD card slot. This phone has a nano SIM just like the IPhone 5, which means that you can easily move over to this phone from the IPhone 5 if you’re interested.

All photography is covered by a 13 megapixel camera on the rear of the phone and a 2.1 megapixel located on the front of the phone. LG has chosen to put the handset slider on the back of the phone instead of putting it on the side of the phone. Android 4.2.2 powers the LG phone along with a 2,1610 mAh battery, with a 3,000 mAh unit that has been planned for the UK model.

Pricing for the US and UK models have yet to be released.
