MTV Movie Awards Nominations: Who Got Love and Who Got Snubbed!

Joey O’Hern

Staff Writer

Just when you thought that award show season was over think again! MTV just announced their nominees for the 2013 “MTV Movie Awards”, you know, the show where you get the golden popcorn statue that you can’t eat but that’s okay because it’s more fun than any other award show. Yep, that’s it. Personally this one of my favorite award shows as it’s more laidback and the stars don’t try as hard to impress us.

Shockingly to me “Django Unchained” leads the nominations with 7, the same amount received by “Ted”. Not saying “Django” was a bad movie because it wasn’t just doesn’t come across to me like sometime the “MTV viewer” would flock to.

The newly crowned Academy Award winner “Silver Linings Playbook” earned itself an impressive six nominations while “The Dark Knight Rises” collected five. Some other top nominees that were announced include the summer blockbuster “The Avengers,” the James Bond flick “Skyfall,” the cult classic “Pitch Perfect” and  of course “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”

Nominee Rebel Wilson will host the awards and fans vote online for the awards to be handed out on Sunday April 14th at 9:30pm. For more information on how to vote visit www.mtv.com
