The ever gorgeous Natalie Portman will grace the cover of Elle UK November issue, which goes on sale October 2.

During her interview, Natalie discussed Hollywood’s portrayal of “macho” women and how that is not the only way to communicate feminism.

“The fallacy in Hollywood is that if you’re making a ‘feminist’ story, the woman kicks ass and wins. That’s not feminist, that’s macho. A movie about a weak, vulnerable woman can be feminist if it shows a real person that we can empathize with.”

She continued, “I want them to be allowed to be weak and strong and happy and sad – human, basically.”

The actress went on to discuss her upcoming film Thor: The Dark World, and some shared screen time with Tim Hiddleston where she decked him quite nicely. “Oh my god: it was so good!” she proudly proclaimed.

Portman who won an Oscar for her riveting performance in Black Swan, is now happily married and enjoying being a mother as well. “I love being a mom, but it’s much more intensive work than being an actress – going to work feels like you’ve got a day off. Not that I want a day off from being a mom, it’s just perhaps I had this impression before that moms don’t work. But they work more than anyone.”

You can see Natalie in Thor: The Dark World, opening up in theaters this November.
