Nathan Sykes Drops Music Video For ‘Kiss Me Quick’

After the premiere of his first buzz single, Nathan Sykes has returned with his proper debut, “Kiss Me Quick”, and its accompanying music video.

After kicking off his solo career with a buzz single, “More Than You’ll Ever Know”, The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes has returned with his proper debut. The singer premiered his brand-new track, “Kiss Me Quick”, along with its accompanying music video.

Co-penned by the artist himself and LDN Noise, the track serves a great follow-up to the previous promotional single in terms of sound. Once again, Nathan Sykes picked to leave his boyband-pop days to the side and try something more soulful. “Kiss Me Quick” is a jazz-inspired tune, with an incredibly busy production full of brass. The drums set the beat and he makes exceptional use of his falsetto on the lovesong, while some finger-snapping makes it even more addictive. The track is greatly catchy and could mark as the crooner’s very first hit.

The Emil Nava-directed visuals find Nathan Sykes getting all suited up once again. Dressed in black, he’s jamming to the music in the middle of a total-white setting, sometimes on his own and others joined by his band. Eventually, there is more black-and-white contrast and even more bandmates joining him. Even though the clip is rather simplistic, it serves as some kind of a performance and it kind of works. It’s what the singer wanted after all, viewers to focus on the music.

“Kiss Me Quick” is scheduled to come out on June 28 (thanks U.K.), but you can take a look at the music video below.
