British boy band sensation The Wanted moved to Los Angeles months ago to help promote themselves, and the guys have been seen at all of LA’s hottest spots.
Well, most of them.
The group’s youngest member Nathan Sykes says that he feels ”left out” of their party life because he’s only 20 years old and the legal drinking age in the States is 21. He said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that “It’s fallen really strangely, when I got to 18, I was like, ‘Yes, I can finally go out in the UK!’ Then it was, ‘Yes, the boys are going to America!’ I was like, ‘No, you can’t do that to me.’”
He also said that just joining the band was a major adjustment because he was 16 and was going to be working with 21-year olds. “It was tough, there were moments where I’m sure they were like, ‘How can I work with a 16-year-old?’ And I was like, ‘How can I work with 21-year-olds?’ And they were crazy at the time as well.”
Don’t worry, Nathan. Only a few more months and you can go out and party, too.
