NBC has picked up the small screen adaptation of the 2002 film and 1998 novel About A Boy. The Jason Kitms produced sitcom will feature Minnie Driver and New Girl’s David Walton in a pilot directed by Jon Favreau.
NBC has also picked up shows including The Family Guide, drama Crisis and Sean Saves The World starring Will And Grace’s Sean Hayes.
Producers J.J Abrams and Bryan Burk’s drama Believe has also been commissioned. Believe, which will be directed by Harry Potter alum Alfonso Cuarón, follows a former prisoner who watches over a magical young girl and aims to protect her from the constant threats from dark forces. Kyle MacLachlan, Delroy Lindo and Jake McLaughlin are all set to star.
So what do you think of these pick ups? Will you be watching any of them? Or are their other shows you would rather see return? Still bitter over the cancellation of GLAAD Award winning The New Normal? What about the axing of Matthew Perry’s Go On? Let us at PopWrapped know your thoughts as the networks go pick up/renew/cancel crazy!
