NBC Renews Community for a Fifth Season!!!

Well, it seems the TV Gods do in fact listen. Yesterday I posted a story about the Upfronts, a list of shows that had been confirmed as returning, those that had been cancelled and those that still had an uncertain future. To be honest, the only show that I was concerned about its fate was NBC’s Community.

Stars of Community Alison Brie, Jim Rash and Danny Pudi have recently taken to Twitter to reveal, what in my opinion, is the greatest news in television history (that may or may not be a slight exaggeration), with Danny Pudi simply tweeting a picture of his hand showing off 5 fingers.

The decision was made one day after the Season 4 finale saw a jump in its ratings, to a 1.3 rating, which in itself isn’t that impressive, but is the positive sign that NBC were looking for to renew its veteran comedies, with it and Parks and Recreation being the only two the network had deemed worthy of a renewal.

Full details of the renewal are still unknown, for example the number of episodes or a day and time for the show to air, but still, fans of the show can rejoice knowing that somewhere, at sometime for an unknown number of episodes, Community will be back. #SixSeasonsAndAMovie baby!
