A new bathing suit has hit the market, and it is changing the face of plus sized fashion! The two-piece swimsuit dubbed the “fatkini” was designed by plus size blogger Gabby Greg and has been selling out, reports ABC News.
The demand for the swimsuit was so overwhelming that retailer swimsuitsforall, which carries the suits, told ABC News that some women who ordered the bathing suit won’t receive it. The galaxy print swimsuit sold out in just two days.
The bathing suit covers just enough, and shows off just the right amount of skin. It’s both flattering and sexy.
Most plus size bathing suits are neither young nor fresh, which is why it’s nice to see a more youthful style being put on the market for plus sized girls.
Gregg told ABC News, “I wanted to design bikinis that were style iron, young and fresh. I think a lot of the swimwear on the market for plus sizes is frumpy and matronly and a lot designed to cover us up.”
Thanks to Greg a flattering and not-frumpy bathing suit is now on the plus size market.
The swimsuits are available in sizes 10 to 25.
