The newest silver screen adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic play Romeo and Juliet has debuted its first trailer!

Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes and Italian director Carlo Carlei’s effort promises to stay true to its Shakespearian roots, and was filmed in various Italian locations including Verona and Rome. Starring Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) and Douglas Booth as the iconic star-crossed lovers, the cast also includes Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick,Homeland’s Damian Lewis, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Paul Giamatti and Stellan Skarsgård.
A US date for Romeo and Juliet’s cinema debut is yet to be confirmed, but is thought to be at some point later this year, and the feature will open in the UK on July 26.
