The news is always cloudy, unless you go to sunny skyz, an outlet that's devoted to positive journalism only.
One particular article may catch your eye. A seven-year-old little girl started a fundraiser to help the hospital that saved her father's life. She aimed to raise just $640, but she ended up with much more than she anticipated. She got a whopping $128,270. "Elly recently won first prize in a competition at school to make a collage of the Pembrokeshire Flag," the parents write on JustGiving, a place where people can donate money to causes of all kinds. Their daughter was so thankful for Withybush Hospital, especially Ward 10. Her father was a cancer patient being treated there, and, without a team of dedicated and devoted doctors, he would've lost his life.
"We have decided to use the flag to raise valuable funds for a cause which is very close to our hearts -- the refurbishment and upgrade of Ward 10 at Withybush Hospital, making it once again a dedicated cancer ward," the sunny skyz article says. The staff helped her loved ones, so she wanted to return the favor.
Even though she's just a baby, she's already making such a huge impact. Everyone could learn from Elly.
While her kindness has brought "new equipment" to the hospital, as well as renovations, she reminds people that love is still very much alive. While the missile launches and Manchester bombings are still harsh realities, rays of positivity seeps through the cracks. "It's stunning really, it's beyond our wildest dreams and we are incredibly proud of what Elly has achieved. To raise £100,000 can make a real difference with the equipment and beyond" her father says. Not only has Elly touched the lives of many, but she also proves that anyone can spread love and kindness, no matter their age.
