Fall wedding bells are ringing, as actor and comedian Patton Oswalt married actor Meredith Salenger on November 4 in Los Angeles. The happy couple tied the knot at the Jim Henson Studios. The Goonies and Raising Hope star Martha Plimpton served as the officiant, and Oswalt’s daughter, Alice, was the flower girl.
Since the wedding, Oswalt and Salenger, who met online through mutual friends, have been sweetly and playfully sharing snapshots of their big day on social media:

In mid-2016, Patton Oswalt’s wife, Michelle McNamara, died unexpectedly in her sleep, and the former King of Queens star has been open about his tough times and experiences following her death, including in his latest Netflix special, Annihilation.
Since he met Salenger, who starred in the classic 1985 Disney film The Journey of Natty Gann, in May of this year, he told People that “reality shifted into something brighter and more in focus.” And Salenger and Oswalt both credit some divine intervention on the part of Michelle bringing them together. As Salenger shared with People, “When I first starting talking with Patton on Facebook, it was just sort of witty banter. There was nothing to it, but as I started getting to know him better, I looked up Michelle on Facebook, and I saw that we had like 15 mutual friends…My friend said, ‘I think Michelle orchestrated this from heaven. She asked herself, who would be the best woman to raise Alice? And she picked you. And then, who would Patton love? You.’”
Congratulations are definitely in order for Patton Oswalt and Meredith Salenger! Here’s to many happy years together!
