It’s time to take our the stockings and ring the jingle bells. Although Halloween is fast approaching, Pentatonix is already spreading the holiday cheer.
On Friday, the Grammy award-winning a cappella group Pentatonix graced YouTube with an early dose of what is to come with their new holiday album, A Pentatonix Christmas. The music video was a fantastic cover to Leonard Cohen’s classic tune “Hallelujah”.
The video, shot entirely in a desert landscape, features all five members of the group standing gracefully in formation as they deliver a phenomenal and chilling performance.

I absolutely loved this cover from them. The simplicity of the video was outstanding. The vocals of each of the members were very soothing and just make this song very special. The song literally takes you to another place emotionally. I sobbed near the end, it was so beautiful. Pentatonix really out did themselves, and I can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeves next.
In addition to “Hallelujah”, A Pentatonix Christmas includes eleven holiday favorites and some original content from the group. Some of the songs include “White Christmas”, “I’ll be Home for Christmas”, “Up On The Housetop”, “O Come All Ye Faithful”, “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, and even NSYNC’s holiday tune “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays”. Original songs include, “The Christmas Sing-Along”, “Coventry Carol”, “Coldest Winter”, and “Good To be Bad”.
