Bobby Moynihan left Saturday Night LIve this season and fans of the show were upset. He has been a staple of the show for quite some time and we don't like saying goodbye to Bobby. But neither does his castmates. In a post on social media, Pete Davidson shared a heartfelt message for his friend that had all of us wishing that Bobby would stay for just a little while longer.
Tomorrow is our last show together. It breaks my heart. When I became a cast member you were really there for me and such a pal. I wouldn't have been able to get through it without you. Over the past few years we've become great friends and I'm honored to have met you and have you in my life. You're one of the funniest people I know and I'll never forget the time we spent together on floor 17.
Bobby isn't the only fan favorite leaving this season as Vanessa Bayer and Sasheer Zamata also announced their departures. The cast went out of their ways to share images with them and post their love of their fellow cast mates who would not return for the next season of Saturday Night Live.
But, there is just something so special about Pete's message to Bobby. Pete has very famously gone through some changes in his life and when he gets serious, it hits a lot harder than most others. Just look at him talking about his sobriety on Weekend Update! So, this message just hits fans of the show a little harder because it's Pete.
While we'll miss every cast member who left this season, Bobby has been with us since 2008 and for the last 9 years we've laughed alongside all his weird characters. After all, who is going to play Spocko now that he's gone?
