Alternative singer-songwriter Peter Raffoul grew up in Leamington, Ontario surrounded by music. His father Jody is a prolific rock artist and his brother Billy released his debut album on Interscope Records last year, so it’s not all surprising really to find Peter’s now following in their footsteps, yet paving his own unique path.
His debut single, “Fucked Up Together”, released on his own label, House In Blue, is out now and, upon its release was quickly added to the Today’s Singer-Songwriter and Next Gen Singer-Songwriter Spotify playlists along with Apple Music’s New In Alternative and New In Pop, amassing an impressive number of streams on all four. It’s also the first of several tracks that will be shared with the world ahead of Peter dropping his debut EP in the Spring.
Asked about the track: Peter shares: I couldn’t be happier that this gets to be the song that introduces me as an artist. I didn’t really have to think that much when I was writing it; it’s just me talking about how I feel sometimes. And I think it’s a feeling that a lot of us have experienced. If there are people out there that can relate, I hope it lets them know how common it is to feel this way, and maybe that can make it a little better.”
