Broadway is taking over not just in New York, but in our own home as well. I’m going to take you inside on what my top ten favorite cast albums are: From going “Under The Sea” To Oz University. I’m taking a look at ten cast albums and what makes them my favorite.
10.
How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying
Original Cast: Daniel Radcliffe, Rose Hemingway and John Larroquette
In this 2011 rival album, Daniel Radcliffe left Hogwarts behind and starred as J. Pierrepont Finch. Radcliffe made this album his own and brought youth back to this musical. The soundtrack is still a must-listen for any theater-goer.
9.
Rock Of Ages
Original Cast: Constantine Maroulis, Amy Spanger and James Carpinello.
Let’s return to the ‘80s. Every time I listen to this album, I feel like I am back in the Rock ‘n’ Roll times. This album is a must for any rocker who loves the classic tunes. I know I haven’t stopped believin’.
8.
Legally Blonde: The Musical
Original Cast: Laura Bell Bundy, Christian Borle, and Orfeh
This cast album is full of high energy and fun. Laura Bell Bundy brought Elle Woods to life through this cast album, with songs like “Omigod You Guys”, “What You Want”, and “So Much Better”.
7.
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s: Cinderella
Original Cast: Laura Osnes, Santino Fontana and Victoria Clark
I am absolutely in love with this album. The talented Laura Osnes has such a pretty voice, and she sounds great singing with Santino Fontana. The album seems made for any fairy tale dream come true, with songs like “In My Own Little Corner”, “Impossible”, and “Ten Minutes Ago”.
6. The Little Mermaid
Original cast: Sierra Boggess, Sean Palmer, Norm Lewis, Sherie Rene Scott and Tituss Burgess
This album brings you under the sea. Lovers of the animated movie will also love the classic songs, such as “Part Of Your World” and “Poor Unfortunate Souls”, and they will enjoy newer songs like “The World Above” and “One Step Closer”. Any fan of The Little Mermaid will enjoy swimming “Under The Sea” with this album.
5. Aladdin
Original Cast: Adam Jacobs, Courtney Reed, Jonathan Freeman, and James M. Iglehart
This album has only been released for about a week, but it has become one of my ultimate favorites. The cast is just amazing; Adam Jacobs’ voice is just so fitting for Aladdin, and James Iglehart just brings out the funny in the songs. The cast certainly takes these songs to “A Whole New World”.

Risen from the late 1990’s movie, Newsies is about the newsboys strike. This cast album features a score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman. The cast brings high energy to the album and much more!

This rock-opera album has anthems for generations to enjoy, with powerful messages and long life lessons for years to come.

This classic broadway show album has the music that captivates everything that musicals are about. Sarah Brightman’s and Michael Crawford’s voices are phenomenal, and the music takes you to another place entirely.

The classic tale of the Witches of OZ. This album brings the tale of the two witches to life. Idina’s and Kristin’s voices blend perfectly together, and takes us to the world of OZ for an adventure of a lifetime.
