Pottermore Gets More of The Prisoner of Azkaban!

Mischief will be almost managed at Pottermore. It was just announced that the second round of chapters from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, 8 through 15, have been unlocked for fan fun on the Pottermore website. With this unlock, fans will be treated to new information from the wonderful J.K. Rowling about parts of the Wizarding World!

What exclusives will Pottermore members be privy to? The Harry Potter author extraordinaire will share tidbits about the Hogwarts Portraits (who hasn’t wanted to know about those?), the Marauder’s Map (how did those boys come up with it?), the Firebolt, Gobstones (might clear up some of the confusion about those things), Dementors and chocolate.

The Pottermore Insider shared some new details about this second round of chapters’ release. According to them,

For the first time, some of the new Moments have been released with accompanying audio book snippets for our UK, US and German users. We have also introduced a new spoiler alert feature on selected exclusive entries from J.K. Rowling. If you are about to read anything that may give away storylines or information from beyond that particular Moment on, an alert will appear. You then have the choice to continue reading or to navigate away and come back at a later time so as not to spoil your own journey through the stories. You can disable the spoiler warning any time it appears and manage your spoiler settings in Account Settings.

An awesome new feature for those who hate spoilers!

The Pottermore Insider also shared this preview of the infamous Marauder’s Map (created by Moody, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs):

Although the precise circumstances surrounding the makers’ loss of their map are not given in the Harry Potter novels, it is easy to conclude that they eventually over-reached themselves and were cornered by Argus Filch, probably on a tip-off from Snape, whose obsession it had become to expose his arch-rival, James Potter, in wrongdoing. The masterpiece of a map was confiscated in Sirius, James, Remus and Peter’s final year and none of them were able to steal it back from a well-prepared and suspicious Filch.”

Sounds intriguing!
