The American singer-songwriter Stephanie Ryann is back with a new single titled “Gravel.”
“So many people get stuck in the mindset that they have to follow the path of life set out for them by others. I have a love for adventure and forging my own path. That’s where the idea for Gravel came from…packing up, hitting the road and not looking back,” explains Ryann.
Stephanie’s no stranger to the music industry, spending most of her late teens and early 20’s auditioning for tv shows such as American Idol, Nashville Star, and The Voice to assist in jump-starting her career.
“Many artists are still doing things virtually these days, and I’m definitely one of them. “Gravel”, was written via Zoom with my friends / fellow songwriters Erika Raen and Davis Branch. My producer, Brent Rader (Nashville, TN) created the track, sent it to me and I cut the vocals at my home studio in Maine. I’ve been recording this way since the pandemic began, however I’m looking forward to getting in the studio with Brent to continue making great music together.” explains Stephanie.
While COVID-19 shut down most of the music industry, Ryann took the opportunity to hone her songwriting skills and teach herself guitar, which lead to the creation of her COVID-inspired single, “Nights Like These”, and allowed her the ability to not only co-write, but write songs entirely on her own.
