‘Pretty Little Liars’ Ends After 7 Season And A.D. Has Been Revealed

Spoilers ahead as we look into the series finale of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ and who turned out to be behind it all!

Pretty Little Liars came to an end on June 27th after seven years on the air.  All seven years were filled with mystery and suspense along with love and friendship. Now, that the show is officially over, the mysteries are too. Major spoilers will be throughout the rest of this article. Let’s do a roundup of all the things that happened in the two hour series finale of PLL.

We will leave the A.D. reveal for last and start with the girls. Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) finally got married and all the Ezria fans can rejoice. Their wedding was filled with drama but in the end, it happened and they are Mr. and Mrs. Fitz. Alison (Sasha Pieterse) ended up being pregnant with twins and those babies turned out adorable. Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Ali finally got engaged making Emison endgame which was a huge relief to all their fans and a significant moment for the character of Alison because Emily was the only one who showed her true unconditional love. There was one tiny downside to their happily ever after and that was the fact that it turned out the sperm used to impregnate Ali to begin with belonged to Wren (Julian Morris) which is a major yuck. But luckily, that didn’t impede at all on the happy ending fans got.  Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) got married before the series finale but in the finale, they got pregnant! So, we may never meet baby Haleb but we will always know that they were also endgame. All of us were furious when the five year jump attempted to destroy the Haleb we know and love so this series finale was a huge relief.

Now, we move to Spencer (Troian Bellisario) because her ending had the most twists and turns of any of the liars. Spencer has had an intense 7th season as she learned that Veronica Hastings (Lesley Fera) was not her mother but actually Mary Drake (Andrea Parker) making Spencer related to the insanity that is the DiLaurentis family. Theories began to roam the net during 7B regarding the possibility that Spencer has a twin and that the twin may be A.D. since that child would have the last name Drake. Mona (Janel Parrish) was a possible culprit toward the end of the season but her name was cleared as it was revealed that she was Charlotte’s killer. So, A.D. turned out to be Alex Drake aka Spencer’s twin.  We think most fans were satisfied with the reveal because it came with flashbacks which involved how many times Alex took Spencer’s place. Spoby was not endgame either because the last time we saw Toby (Keegan Allen) and Spencer together, it was Alex. Who finally figured out that Spencer was not Spencer? Jenna (Tammin Sursok) and not one of her friends. Twitter was full of fans giving Jenna props and saying that this was the one time they liked her in the whole of the series. So, A.D. was a twin like in the books but not Ali’s although, the same family tree was involved. And what happened to our dear, disturbed Mona at the end of it all? She opens a creepy doll store in France where she keeps Mary and Alex Drake in a lair underneath, much like the dollhouse. In the end, Mona got her game back.

The finale was filled with happiness, twists and tears but we leave it satisfied.
