On Tuesday, the hit ABC Family drama, Pretty Little Liars, premiered its fourth season and broke an all-time Twitter record.
The episode has become the “most-tweeted” season premiere in television history. The drama got 1.3 million tweets by more the 482,000 fans. This beat out the tweets received for The Walking Dead’s recent season premiere by 29 percent.
The premier had nearly three million viewers and beat its season three record by 16 percent. Pretty Little Liars has been signed on to have a fifth season and also a spin-off, Ravenswood.
“We are proud to be able to grow the PLL franchise in two ways,” Michael Riley, president of ABC, stated.
