Those British Royals... they're just like us! Okay maybe that's exaggerating just a little, but Prince William, the 2nd in line to the throne, is certainly doing a good job of fitting in with us "regular people."

How do we know this? Well, how many royals can you think of have taken up a civilian job, the wages for which they're donating to charity?

Earlier this week William started his new job as an East Anglian Air Ambulance pilot.  This position will see him work four days before having four off, giving him time to balance work, his royal duties as well as his role as a husband to Kate, and dad to Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

His position with the service makes him the first royal with a direct succession to the throne to take on a civilian job, according to a press release issued via Kensington Palace.

It's estimated that the Prince's salary will be around £30,155 a year and that amount will be donated to an undisclosed charity.

Speaking to CTV about his new job he said,

I feel doing a job like this really helps me to be grounded and that’s the core of what I’m trying to become. I’m trying to be a good guy, to do what I can and trying to be a decent individual.

We here at PopWrapped certainly think he's managed that already, don't you? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
