Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum Share “Nevertheless” Video

‘The video sees the group fall victim to a sinister mind control program…’

You likely know Michael C. Hall best for his performances on Broadway in shows including Chicago and Cabaret, as well as his roles in hit TV series Six Feet Under and Dexter, the series revival of which premieres November 7. What you might not know however is that he also has a band that goes by the name of Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum and the trio – Michael, Matt Katz-Bohen and Peter Yanowitz – dropped the video for their latest single “Nevertheless”, directed by cult filmmaker Dylan Greenberg, at the end of last month.

The video – an impressive collaboration between the band and Dylan, sees the group fall victim to a sinister mind control program in the form of Michael’s disembodied head and, as they look for a way out, they’re taunted with one word: “Nevertheless.” Greenberg says of working on the visuals, notably the disembodied head idea which came directly from Michael himself: “At first, I wasn’t really sure about it, but then I did it, and it gives it a whole other dimension, because it kind of drives home this idea of Mike’s character in the video not necessarily being a human being, but being a concept, which is very hard to illustrate visually.”

The band have to date received considerable support and coverage from Alternative Press, American Songwriter, Forbes, NME, The Independent and many more, and following the release of their debut full length album Thanks For Coming last year, together with the hotly-anticipated return/revival of Dexter in just a few short weeks – it’s an exciting time for the trio and fans alike.
