In 2012, we all did it “Gangnam Style”, and now PSY is back with a new song and a new dance and already it is racking up the YouTube views. On Thursday he released his new song “Gentleman” and quickly followed it up by debuting the dance in a worldwide YouTube broadcast from the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
In speaking to a local TV station and excerpted by Reuters in the lead up to the release, the rapper said, “I can’t tell you about the dance but all Koreans know this dance, but [those in] other countries haven’t seen it”. At the time of writing, the song had already notched up 32,587,815 views.
Not as catchy or as many steps/movements as “Gangnam Style”, the 3.13 min song “Gentleman” features a number of similar moves with a lot of pelvic thrusting involved. While the giddy-up style horseriding moves unfortunately do not make a comeback there is one move that could be termed a prancing horse.
Guess we can consider this one a “hit” of sorts with those views already on it. Did you check out Psy’s new video?
