Good on you, Ben Whishaw! It turns out the gorgeous Brit secretly tied the knot last year! Whishaw had been dating composer Mark Bradshaw, whom he met when they both worked on the 2009 film Bright Star, and the two made it official in a civil ceremony last year in Sydney.
As a matter of fact, the pair just celebrated their first anniversary.
The actor’s agent recently told The Daily Mail the following: “Ben has never hidden his sexuality but, like many actors, he prefers not to discuss his family or life outside of his work. Due to speculation [however], I can confirm that Ben and Mark entered into a civil partnership in August 2012. They were proud to do so and are very happy.”
Our hearts are just a little bit broken that he didn’t marry us instead.
We send our best wishes to the happy couple (belated though it may be)!
We have to wonder: Will Londoners Whishaw and Bradshaw officially marry, now that the queen has given same-sex marriage the okay?
