A remake of John Huston’s musical movie Annie is heading for the big screen later this year.
The modern version stars young actress Quvenzhanė Wallis, known for her roles in Beasts of the Southern Wild and Oscar-winning picture 12 Years A Slave, as Annie.
Wallis shares the spotlight alongside acting alums Cameron Diaz (as much-hated orphanage head Miss Hannigan) and Jamie Foxx (Benjamin Stacks, known as Daddy Warbucks in the original film).
The film is directed by Will Gluck, known for the comedies Friends With Benefits and Easy A.
What do you think? Are you on board with an Annie remake or will it always be about the original for you?
