Currently seen on screens in season two of True Detective and in U.S. theaters across the country as the wife of Jake Gyllenhaal’s boxing champion Billy Hope in Southpaw, Rachel McAdams has admitted she is in talks to join Benedict Cumberbatch in the 2016 movie Doctor Strange.
She told the LA Times:
“It’s still super-early days, and I don’t know where that’s gonna go, if it’s gonna go anywhere at all,”
As yet, there is no indication as to who she might play should she accept a role in the film, but the most likely candidates are Clea or Sara Wolfe, the closest confidantes of the Doctor.
Should she say ‘yes,’ she would not only be starring alongside Benedict Cumberbatch who takes on the leading part, but also Tilda Swinton who recently joined the cast, taking on the role of The Ancient One. Rumours also suggest that Chiwetel Ejiofor may also appear in the movie, but nothing has been confirmed.
Doctor Strange is set for release in U.S. theaters on November 4, 2016.
