Since making romance movie history with The Notebook opposite Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams has played lead in many romance films.
McAdams has played the romantic lead opposite hunky male stars like Channing Tatum, Eric Bana, and Owen Wilson in films like The Vow, Time Travellers Wife, and Wedding Crashers.
The actress is returning to the science-fiction romance comedy genre that we saw her in with The Time Travellers Wife. She returns to the genre with About Time. Quite frankly, the movie sounds like a prequel to The Time Travellers Wife. The latter was not one of her more successful films. Maybe About Time will give a new name for romance movies incorporating time travel.
About Time is written and directed by Richard Curtis, the romantic comedy king behind Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral. The film follows the story of Tim, a young man with the gift of travelling back in time to relive the awkward romantic experiences in his life. Tim will be played by Domhnall Gleeson, who many will recognize as Bill from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
About Time will be released in theatres on Nov. 8.
