Chris Cornell passed away unexpectedly at the age of 52 following a Soundgarden concert in Detroit on Wednesday evening. The medical examiner confirmed his death as a suicide by hanging.

Known for his impressive vocal range and as one of the greatest voices in rock music, Cornell’s extensive music catalogue leaves a lasting legacy. As news of his death travels, his fellow musicians are sharing tributes to him on social media.

His death leaves a void in the music world. On a personal note, he was my favorite artist and I was lucky to have seen him in concert multiple times. Cornell wrote Temple of the Dog's "Say Hello 2 Heaven" for Andy Wood and always dedicated it to him when playing it live. Chris, this one’s for you.
