Surely the main issue a girl band faces, as with any workingwoman, is pregnancy and the starting of a family. When Frankie Sandford announced her pregnancy just weeks after Rochelle Humes gave birth to her first daughter, the rumour mill immediately went in to overdrive, claiming the band were to split up in order to spend time with their respective families. Three of the five members of The Saturdays are now mothers, or mothers-to-be, but the group have promised fans they “definitely aren’t splitting,” and that the pitter-patter of new music and a tour will be heard later this year! “Our album will be out late summer hopefully. We then plan to tour,” said Frankie after the band sang at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Derry-Londonderry. The band will reportedly continue to perform as a four-piece when Rochelle returns and Frankie leaves on maternity leave, and they hope to reunite as a group for their upcoming tour.
